Rhodes Kitchen Remodel

Project Date: 2013

St. Louis, MO

By taking down the wall that separated the kitchen from the home office, two spaces became one in this 2014 kitchen renovation. After the wall came out to make the room bigger, the largest hurdle was overcoming the lack of wall space. With three windows and three doors to plan around, it was important to use every inch wisely. This task was made more complicated by the wish list of appliances. After very careful planning, this soft-contemporary kitchen was able to hold the following: a built-in fridge, cooktop, warming drawer, double microwave/ oven, two dishwasher drawers, and two refrigerator drawers. White cabinets are given some personality by the fun backsplash tile and a unique pendant light. The dark cherry island provides tons of work space along with seating for four, and the complimenting desk space allows for a small home office in the heart of this home.
